3 Dwarf angels in a 75 gallon?

I've been playing around with the idea of having three or so dwarf angels in my 75 gal tank. I know most dwarf angels are aggressive to those of the same species and that if you are to even consider keeping dwarf angels together to make sure that they are a different size from eachother and/or different coloration.

My tank already has one largish sized flame angel in it and was wondering what my chances are if I were to add two additional dwarf angels to the tank... say a coral beauty and a lemon peel angel.

My tank seems to be rather small to comforatably house larger more beautiful angels (blue-girdaled angel comes to mind ). Thats why I am considering this option.

Tell me what you think.

Thanks.

PS my system is a FOWLR with about 80-90 lbs of LR. Figured I'd ask here cause people in the reef fish forum probably have a lil more experience with dwarfs than the FO forum.

a better solution would be to have a harem of flame angels!! or other pygmy angels. but since you already have an angel in your tank this may be a little difficult. hmmmm... I will have to think of how you can go about this but it sounds like you may have to start fresh with a new angel... OR put them in a new tank all together. but your best bet is to start with one larger angel, two smaller ones and place them in your tank at the same time. someone else may have better tips on how to do this...

Putting in different species of dwarf angels is not recommended. However, fishguy is on to something with having a harem of dwarf angels. If you pair up an older grown angel with two smaller juveniles, the adult will become a male. Viola, you have a harem. Check out this link:

Can't comment about the harem idea, but your original idea would probably be a disaster, especially with an established angel already. This was my first mistake 31 years ago when I had my first marine tanks. I unknowlingly put a Pygmy in with an established Coral Beauty, and to my horror, they threw down and went at it with malice. Luckily, I had a second tank so I could separate them.
I now have 2 angels together, but one is a dwarf Flameback, and the other is a larger Scribbled. They totally ignore each other.

The harem idea is very intriguing. My flame angel is larger then most others I've seen at fish stores. He/she is about 3 1/2 inches. That other post really doesn't say too much on how to add them to your system. Anyone have some first hand experience with harems?
