Question sad clownfish

Okay here is my question.
I have successfully owned false perculas in the past... I lost all my tank mates due to a power outage. I lost the following
1 seahorse
2 false perc clownfish
1 cleaner shrimp
1 sea cuccumber
1 host of snails

Anyway, I have moved and reestablished my tanks. I have 2 tanks 30 gal with live rock and several inverts 10 gal with 1 seahorse and 1 clownfish.

Yes I know all about keeping seahorses...I had one for several monthes before the great crash of 03.

My current problem is the following. I can't keep ANY fish alive in the 30 gallon where everything died. I have tried clownfish and even a damsel

The 10 gallon tank I have a seahorse that looks and eats great, but the clownfish isn't eating.

I LOVE clownfish and want them happy in my tank, but something is wrong and I need help finding out.

The 30 gallon currently has
choc ship star
coral banded shrimp
rock anemone
narissus snails
and LR with chalupra algae
temp 77.9
sal 32
SG 1.0235
pH 8.2
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 50-100

I have tried feeding frown brine, plankton, and blood worms.

Any ideas?

Thanks Kent

try live brine to coerce fish into eating, also a product called marine S that i have seen work wonders, aparently one of the major clown breeders uses it.

Well Question about raising brine

I can get them to hatch, but not raise to adulthood.

I was feeding KENT microvert food that I use for my filter feeders. Do I need to try something else?

kent microvert is not going to do good things when trying to raise brine shrimp. you need to feed something that wont polute your tank, there are several things that will work, macroalgae or cryopaste (frozen macroalgae) are good things to start with.

Are there lots of pods in the tank? My clowns wouldn't eat anything I put in the tank for about 2 weeks..They had me pretty worried untill I figured out they didn't want my frozen food when there was plenty of live food for them. Once the pods decreased and started hideing more the fish started eating the frozen stuff.

Stop buying fish that aren't eating at the LFS.

in traveler's defence ive bought fish that i saw eat at the LFS's, and when getting home stoped eating and it took time or a change of food for them to start eating once they got home.
