Search changes again?

I have recently noticed that you can only search as far back as 6 months, whereas before it was any date. Is this a temporary change?

Well I am pleased that it is temporary.
Was going to moan that RC has been ruined by limiting the search to 6 months only there is such a wealth of info from the beginning of RC it would be bad news if you could not search for that past info.
How long until we get the any date search back ????

Regards
Martyn

Just click on the bullet beneath the "6 months ago" and change it from "and newer" to "and older."

LOL I am not a rookie afriad that does not work.

For example enter search for DSB and add the and older you get this.

http://reefcentral.com/forums/search...pagenumber=135

135 pages last date 05/04/2002 09:44 AM

One more example add the and older and search for Coloration on Erics forum you get to 05/15/2002 08:41 AM nothing before may 2002

http://reefcentral.com/forums/search...g&pagenumber=2

I happen to know that with the any date this thread will show up (Coral Coloration) 07/06/2001 05:18 PM

http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...threadid=28195

But will not show with the 6 months and older.
the "and older" seems to only work if you search threads by members names or your own name.

Regards
Martyn

PS thanks for trying to help though No offence intended.

None taken. I just knew I had done some recent searches and gotten stuff older than 6 months. But you're right, nothing earlier than May of 2002.

The administrators are aware of the issue and are exploring solutions. Hang in there. We should have something in a week or two.

Thanks John and Kevin.
Rarely do I moan I know I know John on the pic uploads occasion and yes after your email explaining I understand mate NP.
Its a little frustrating from using the search regular at RC to search up on some great info on many things I really miss not having the any date search.
I am sure you guys are doing your best and I appreciate all the effort put into RC by admin and mods WOW did we realise we would end up with so many members in just a few years

Regards
