Some recent shots! I think the light change is helping and I completely stopped using carbon and PhosBan. So far I see no difference.

From the left side.

From the right side.

The orange cap is starting to really scroll so should be able to make some cuts for those that I owe one to.

You've seen them before but they are my favorite zoas.

I moved the green birds nest down a little lower as the color was, as usual, turning white. Color is returning.

Jay, looking really nice, It does look different than the last time you updated pics. Seems like the change in lighting is helping.

OK Well, I got my new camera and I’m forewarning you I need a lot of practice!! I love it but a lot to digest but I think the best ones came out using the auto settings. Here is my first good one:

Xenia farm!!

Full shots are hard.

This gives you a better view of the colors but I couldn’t get everything in focus.

Same here. This coral is near the back and really one of the better pics I’ve taken of it so far. Still need work on the focus.

Thanks for looking!!

Jay

Got it John! Thanks.

One last one for the evening. This was using the macro focus. Cuc doing his thing. Note the small curly-q’s on the right side near the end of the cuc. I’m guessing snail eggs?

Nice pics.....I like some of the trick photography, like the Acro running thru the white bar of the Perc and the Orange tip Blue Acro.

No tricks that’s just plain bad skills!! Ya, those two corals on the end are growing into each other now. Will need to trim some here shortly! I stayed up so late last night playing with the camera I almost couldn’t get out of bed this morning! I most have taken 200 pictures and that is all I could come up with! I think this could get as addicting as the tank is!!

Thanks Dennis! I like it just because the colors are closer to real life than the P&S. But, I have a long way to go.

Yes John, those site kept me up too!!

I would have had the camera sooner but ran into a little problem with a web based retailer. I was looking for the best price (cheapest!) and found the camera package (including 2G memory card) for $488 at bestpricecameras. What a scam! After I ordered they sent me an email telling me to call to expedite my order processing. I searched the web by chance and found that a lot of people were not happy with them. When I called the first thing they did was ask for my security code for the cc I used. I gave them a false one and then he told me it would be another $200 for a battery. I told him to cancel the order then immediately called my cc company. I learned my lesson on this one and it set me back a few weeks.

OK Two more for your viewing pleasure! Couldn’t get one of the Mandarin with his top fin lifted and the color of the coral the Hawknose is sitting on washed out.
