Tank Pics...
Hello everyone!
I just wanted to share my new project. After 4 tanks, I am left with my 12 g for now. I will be getting married and hope to set up a new tank at our house. For now, I stayed with my 12 g because I do not want out of the hobby. I hope to get more pieces and maybe aquascape. I am not to sure I like the way I did it... I hope you all had a great holiday! Please feel free to post pics of all your tanks! Karinne Full Tank Shot Ric Garden Torch Hammer Mushrooms Zoo's Hope you enjoyed my little tank! |

Nice looking tank! If you have a good light setup (aka not original Nano equipment) you could put an alveopora... great coral, LPS, easy to keep, and really looks great with the little flow from a nano.

Thanks!!!!
Right now the tank has the regular lighting. I never changed it because I am challenged when it comes to building and changing things lol! |

Then don't try alveo... I would go as far as saying that torch may not do well in there, he may need more light. The rics, zoos, and shrooms should be fine, the candy cane might, but only if you're feeding it.

Eh, If he's got the dual PC lights on the 12, then he's in fine shape. I had a 12g with the single light, and I had montipora digitatas growing in it, as well as lots of other softies and leathers that all GREW rather than just survive. IMO water quality and maintenance is much more important than lighting.

Agreed on the water quality and maintenance... I didn't think to mention digitata... that stuff's about the easiest stony to grow. How did the color do in that tank? As far as alveo, mine did great in my 18g down low, but there was 192 watts of pc's in there. I'd say the alveo will do okay if he's got the double lights, and a very well kept tank, but I don't know if it'll do really well. Does anyone else have any experience with stonies in a stock nano?
