Ap 24 return outlet mod!

I got this idea from a fellow reefer. I cant find the thread or rember his name but i modified it a little bit. (Thanks for the idea) anyway it 1/2" pvc that will go on the outlet of the return and run across the back wall and up to the top of the tank. I have drilled 13 holes in the pvc to allow flow in different directions. a few point straight down to get water flow behind the reef. A few point slightly up to give surface agitation. and a few point just straight out. I put a few 45* angles in there so that the spray bar follows along the rear wall. This makes the flow direction cross paths to give a little more turbulance (spelling) and help with flow in the tank. well here are the pics!! let me know what you all think about this.

And here it is with krylon fusion paint!

How long should I let the paint dry before placing it in the tank?? Im kinda anxious to see how it works.

Your description is foggy to us, a picture with it in the tank would help a lot more.

Looks like it would help flow but wondering if it will. What pump are you going to use with this? I would think with piping that big and the number of holes it will slow the flow out of all of them to really kill the desired effect.
If it was used with a large enough pump I think it would work great. Have you tried it yet and what pump will you use?

Im waiting on the paint to dry... Im going to try it with the stock pump first. I shortened the tube in the back and put the skimmer pump in the bottom. the return tube has been shortened about 6 inches and that increased the flow alot!! if the pump isnt enough to do what im trying to I will just go and pick up a mj1200 to use. I will keep everyone updated when I get it on.
