Sponge babies??
Last night as we were cleaning out one of the sumps, there were a bunch of jellyfish looking things floating in the water. When we moved some of the rubble around, we realized that they were laying on the bottom of the tank. So I start digging around on the web and can't find anything that really looks like what's floating in the tank.
About 10 minutes later, we pull a rock out of the sump and realize that these unknown things seem to be attached to it - intermixed with a black sponge that is growing on the rocks. Hmmmm.... With this discovery we start looking up sponge reproduction to come across the whole "budding" way of reproducing. Is this what we had going on? Anyone ever come across something like this in their tank, in a forum, anywhere? We got a few pictures, though not with any real detail as it was hard to focus on floating slime balls. We'll try to get them posted later today/tonight in hopes that it helps with the mystery... Any ideas???
