Actually...what's the best way to acclimate all this stuff? I mean, that's a lot of livestock I'll be adding at once. Think I can get away with just throwing everything in a tub (mixing the water from the bags) and then just drip, or what?

Jonathan,

Yes, it is a good idea to remove the critters from the bags and put them
in holding containers with fresh saltwater. The best way to do this
would
be to float the bag in the new water container for 10-15 minutes to
match
temps, then double the water volume in the bag with the fresh saltwater
for a quick acclimation, let that sit for another 10-15 minutes then
remove the animal from the bag and place him in the new saltwater. The
snails and hermits will be shipped in no water so they will be just fine
as long as they are inside out from the cold. Most everything will be
just
fine until 7pm in the bags and floating them in your tank would be ideal
to get the temp right. As long as it wont be past 7pm and nothing looks
too stressed in the bags there wont be any need to open them and put
them
in new water. Ill look over the final list for errors now, then send an

OK I just got off the phone with the post office and I was informed that they deliver over nights for 10am 12 noon or if your really lucky you get the 3pm delivery ....... I gave him the number and it left the post office already. So I'm assuming it's coming on the truck with the normal mail.......Sorry guys

JasonH the FedEx guy came and left at 11am on the nose this morning. This is coming via USPS even still I would have figured they had special trucks to deliver live animals in the morning if it was 110 outside I'd be having a cow by now

Edit: just as I posted this the UPS guy rolled by .....lmao so that leaves DHL and USPS and everyone will have visited me today

Nope and I just called and ripped the post office a new one. I live 3 wiles away from he post office it has been their since 9:30am why in the hell does it take 7 hours to deliver me my live stock.........If I had known this I would have gone and got it myself this morning and been done with it. But the shmuck has it on his delivery truck so nothing I can do about it now.

also, make sure he didn't leave it on the doorstep or something stupid without even knocking. I've had that happen before. Home the entire day, package was delivered in the morning and didn't know it.
