protien skimming issues

So I added some corals to my system today. Im using a BakPak2 skimmer which has been working great. However, I added neccessary supplements today which i suspect will mess around with water surface tension and my skimmer started kicking out massive ammounts of micro bubbles, is this a temporary thing and is it harmful to the system? or should I just wait it out until everything balances again?

Some supplements will do that. I recommend you turn your skimmer off for an hour or so after you does to give the additives time to diffuse throughout the water.

It is temporary, skimmers often go crazy when any excess foaming agents are added. You could try adjusting the airflow to the skimmer, but if it has been running stable I would just wait it out rather than make adjustments. May be a little annoying, but it will resolve itself.

Running some carbon may speed the process.

Mine does the same thing when I add stuff. It will all go away I usually have to adjust it till it calms down. This is all normal.

What do you mean necessary suplements?

Only necessary supplements should be a nice 2 part solution. That shouldnt mess up a skimmer. Everything else is a load of crap.
