I have two 75 gallon tanks. One was a fowlr but now could be classified as some type of hybrid with tube worms and a soft coral that the fish leave alone
The reef tank is a 75 gallon with MH and actinics and is about a year old. |

That 75 looks rather mature for only being a year old, looks good!! Were some of those corals transfered from another tank when you started it up?
Is that a tusk in the FO?

Please excuse my indulgence, I'm trying this again. The images in my previous thread are too small
FOWLR/Hybrid Reef I placed my images in photobucket.com |

The FOWLR is going on 2 years old. The reef tank is sits next to the FOWLR. Two tanks share the same refugium sump and over sized protein skimmer and denitrater.
How do I make the images appear larger in the thread? |

Some of you guys have some great looking tanks. I'm originally from Kaukauna, WI, so I'm occasionally browsing through here. I play with the idea of moving back someday, but the ocean keeps me here. Not a whole lot of scuba diving up there, at least not without some major shrinkage Anyway, here's a shot of mine, just for eye candy. It won the exhibitor's choice award in our club's last show.
A few specs: 18 gallon viaaqua, built the stand myself, 192w of pc (2 x 96w quads), black sand, handmade rock, mated pair of red saddle clowns, red scooter blenny, and a yellow watchman (tiny). Corals included green open brain, large cinnamon polyps, lots of green star zooanthids, xenia, bali giant xenia (shown in pic below), turbinaria, alveopora, couple of shrooms and riccordia, green long tentacle anemone, green star polyps, pavona, and 2 large hawaiian feather dusters. For an 18 gallon, that's a lot of light, but it was needed due to the black sand. Here's the Bali Giant Xenia (It actually ended up twice this size, before I had to cut it back) It's always been my favorite, and after I broke down my 65 gallon (due to electricity costs after hurrican Wilma) I broke down that tank also, along with my 5 gallon mantis shrimp tank. I am currently building a 56 gallon column, acquired the rock today, will be putting it together on the 10th of this month. It's good to know if I DO move back, there's a great reefing community up there. Keep it up! Chris Muthig
