ID please?

I just went in and was looking at my 14 gallon. I saw this odd thing spinning around on my Hyrdo Flo. It looks to be a snail of some kind, but I did not buy this guy and in the 6 months ive had the tank set up I don't recall ever seeing this before. It looks like the shell is really small for it when it slinks along it has a lot of its body behind him and a small looking shell on top.

I was wondering if anyone knew what it was and if it is good or bad!

Thanks!

All I can say is, you see how much algae is in those pictures. My Hydro Flo was covered in it, this morning it looks brand spanking new! That thing is a eating machine!
