'Person of interest' not cooperating in missing hiker case

http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/met...sing_0106.html
Quote:
Hilton, 61, was found Friday evening by DeKalb County police at a convenience store along Ashford-Dunwoody Road, authorities said. Hilton is believed to have been the last person to see Emerson, 24.
...
When officers arrived, they found Hilton and confirmed his identity, Parish said. They also found a dog in Hilton's white van, and it was taken to an animal shelter in DeKalb County.
...
The family was buoyed by news that Emerson's beloved Labrador mix, Ella, was found unharmed.
Would you be buoyed by this news? Maybe if I were in such a situation, I wouldn't be thinking logically either. Having her dog found in possession of the last person (an uncooperative one) known to see her alive would be an awful sign to me.

I wouldn't be hopeful either. Not many people want to rape and kill a Labrador.

he had his own dog. the way i heard it, HER dog was found at a convenience store about 45 minutes from where her car was found. i don't think her dog was found in HIS possession but, i could be wrong. it'd be the first time, EVER.
