ordering some mangroves

I am going to order from the guy on the bay and I wanted to see if any of you wanted to tag along.
If I order 21, which is what I want, then they are a little over a dollar a piece-shipped.
If I order 100 they are about 70 cents a piece- shipped
If I order 50 they are about 90 cents a piece-shipped

They will be between 7-11 inches and will have two leaves and he has over 8000 positive feedbacks

geomax,

I give the guy on ebay the thumbs up if you go that route. I ordered a few from him a couple of years ago. I had no issues.

I want them but I can give you 2 or 3... They are becoming large and I need the sump space for the new skimmer...

If you still want to meet up again in the near future, you can put me down for five.

So are mangroves just another type of macro algae, or I should say perfoms a smilar task to macro algae?

geoxman,

The pups are doing great. Starting to getting strength in their legs more and more. Starting to growl and bark at one another. Just got done worming them for the first time and they're vocalizing their defiance while Mom's outside running around.

What is the required depth for these MANGROVES ?? I have a 100 gallon sump and it runs about 20 inch deep (until power goes out then all 24 inch fill nice and full ). I've always liked the Mangroves but I've never done any research on them at all.

You could build something or use an 14 inch tall small rubbermaid tote and fill it with sand and place it in the bottom of the sump and you should be fine. When they get taller then put them in the bottom of the sump and let them continue to grow. I have seen them in aquaria as tall as 5 ft

I will gladly trade you 5 for all of the aptasia that we can chip off of your rocks in your tank and sump. I would then buy about 20 more for a neat looking sump display. They are mostly for looks but I am sure they consume something or they would not be growing.
I really like the looks of them though and that is why I am getting them.
