Man that sucks. If someone ever stole my 69 Camaro I would cry like a little girl.

Talk about some bad luck, they stole the washer and dryer to??? I hope it was duet series to make it worth it.

I will keep my eye out for classic...

The thing that sucks is she just had her insurance lapse. They were wanting $240 a month from her now. She is 24 and could not get on hagerty or grundy yet. Homeowners is going to have to cover it...will see how that goes.

My insurance company (state farm) says they will not cover my cars on my homeowners if they aren't insured on an auto policy. My insuravce is not even close to $240 a month though lol. I would die. Mine is only $200 every 6 months for declared value policies.

I'm gonna have to check into that. What is the milage limit? One of my cars (74 Nova) never sees the street. If it gets out of the garage, it goes on a trailer and to the track. My 70 Chevelle maybe sees a few hundred miles, and my 71 p/u maybe 2500 miles per year at most. The gas is just too much to drive them any more.

It's a full interior, full body, street legal car. I wouldn't expect my insurance to pay if i crashed at the track, but it's really way too much car to drive on the street. It was a show car until about 6 years ago when i got tired of going to car shows and built an engine and started racing. It has won 2 top 10's in national show events , and several firsts and best of show in local shows in OKC, it just happens to like to go real fast. I never believed in making them look fast if they can't back it up. I keep it insured so i can take it around the block once a month or so. The 55+ community across the street loves me lol. I probably have 35k invested in it, so i gotta keep it insured.

When i die, i will be cremated, and mixed into 5 gallons of race fuel by my son, and run through my Nova at the track, and then it will be burned. Who ever carries the policy on this car is just taking free money.

I dont know about hagerty, but grundy is something like 8000 a year. BUT if you want to drive it to a show in SC or something like that you can just call them and get an additional mileage allowance.

THE CAR WAS FOUND! Not only that but intact. It was on completely the other side of town in pine hills and the brakes no longer worked...but other than that it is completely intact without any damage other than some curb scrapes (see brakes above). That may have been what saved it. The police fingerprinted it, but could not get anything good off it..all smudges.
