help with frogspawn.. not sure what to do
i just got back to college after being home for 3 weeks on winter break. 3 of the 4 heads on my frogspawn have died and now its all small. Im not to upset since thats the only thing thats gone wrong as far as i know but im not sure what to do now. if i leave the heads on the coral will new tissue eventually re-grow or should i frag off those heads and wait for it to branch again. you can look at my tank the link as in my signature. its the 3 heads on the right side that died i still have the big one on the left. I need advise please help
and about how long does it take for frogspawn to grow new heads. |

The tissue will not regrow, but leaving the empty heads won't do any harm.

It'll be dead, but growth and branching of live head can cover that nastiness ultimately. It's already fragile. The dead heads will not directly impact the one survivor: if this were wall coral I'd say frag, but since it's headed, those dead ones can end up being base.
Put it in a good place and feed something like cyclopeeze, or upend a half a liter [or smaller] bottle with some food in it so it can really get a few good meals. I do not spot feed mine, and have good luck also with cyclopeeze; or just put a little formula one cube [dissolved] where the head can reach it. And watch your water quality! It will like having 420 calcium and 9.0 alk.
