ASM mini g skimmer

I was thinking about one of these for my 20g with a 10g sump. Anyone who is using one please let me know how you like it. Also, I have seen specs that this thing has a footprint of 12"x6". This sounds awfully big. Can anyone verify this?

when i first started reefing...i had the mini running in a 46bowfront and a small sump....but sold the whole setup a long time ago.....so cant help you with the footprint......but it did skim okay ....but at that time i didnt know about modding these skimmers and the proper water height for the skimmers to work efficiently....but for a 20g....its more than enough..IMO

I use one. Foot print is correct. I have a 29 gal with a 20 long sump. It takes up alot of my sump but I love it. It works great. My only complaint is that from time to time the air intake gets clogged with salt so if you notice an air reduction, clean it out. It is really easy. All you have to do is take the nozzle off the pump and poke the salt out of the intake. You don't even have to remove the skimmer from the sump.

I am running one on my 46 bow front in an all glass megaflow #1 sump, I really like it it pulls out alot of funk, but it takes up an entire chamber in the small sump, check fishtanksdirect.com they have the correct foot print, and free shipping
