imagining my tank full of goodness
so i am first cycling my tank. i have l s and l r in it now. two crabs and a snail came with the rock, they were hiding in side the rock. i am taking back the crabs because i want coral and found out by my new friends here at r c that they will harm the coral. do i need to take back the snail as well. also when can i put anemones in the tank.

You shouldn't be putting in livestock until after your tank cycles and then add it slowly. An anemone shouldn't be in your tank until it is established, I would wait until at least next new years to add an anemone. I would let the snail stay if it came in on the rock, but thats just me.

The snail=no. The anemones=not until your tanks is establish for 6 months and have MH (metal halide) for lighting.

There are probably more good/harmless snails than bad guys. If you can get a pic and post it, I can probably tell you whether it's a good guy or a bad guy.
