Exclamation Show your Steve Elias Stag plz

i got a frag from atlantis and it's been in my tank for about a month. good growth but the color look no where close to this
instead it's more green than blue...so i wonder if it's normal or what.. thankx

I hate to discourage you but it looks like the buy who was taking a picture of that coral was overusing his actinic lights. Everything in the background is blue (which is impossible to be true).

So there is a chance that you were tricked to think that it would look like that.

Yeah, looks like that picture is shot under 20K or heavy actinic. Here's a couple pics of my steve elias:

that's the picture from atlantis aquarium.

mine looks more close to slobound's first pic but i'm using 20k radium. however your 2nd picture with top down looks really blue ..nice

I can tell you from my experience with this coral is if you have any nitrates it will not get the nice blue color and will not grow fast.

i believe if you don't have any nitrate, the coral is not going to grow. However, my tank is pretty high nitrate 5-25ppm, but i don't have any problem with color, even now this stag is not showing good color but it's growing pretty fast.

Mine took about 3 months to encrust and now it's growing like a weed.
Mine is looking like slobound's first picture.

Nitrates lower than 5

Excellent blue and green coloring

mine encrust fast.. like after 4-6 days in my tank, it was encrusting already, and right now it's about 2.5-3" single branch.
