Beautiful tank. How does that Mag 9.5 do for return? Seems a little under powered to me. (Sorry I'm wanting to setup a 180)

I went with the mag 9 because melevs reef recomends 3-5 times your tank volume for flow through the sump. But, I have been considering adding a second mag 9. I ran 2 - 20 amp circuits for the tank and I would have one return pump on each line just incase a gfci blows. It happened once and I came home to a 74 degree tank with no circulation.

Nice tank! I like the simplistic approach with the aquascape leaving alot of headroom between the top of the 'scape and the top of the tank. Is this by design or do you plan to add more rock?

I didn't like the color of the solaris on any setting. My bta's would hide whenever it was more than 50% intensity. And it just didn't fill the tank with light.

I left the headroom intentionaly. There is 250lbs of lr in there, I think that's enough.

Wow! I have a Mag12 return pump at 4 ft head with only one 1in drain.

Anyways is that a 6 or 8 foot tank? I really need to upgrade from my 75g very soon and the size you have looks great.

72x24x24.

2 percs, 1 yellow stripe maroon, 1 yellow tang, 1 yellow belly blue hippo tang, 1 flame angel, 1 flame hawk, 1 royal gramma, 1 starry blenny, 4 tierra anthias, 1 carpenter's flasher wrasse, 1 target mandarin. Some astria and nass snails and a few red leg and blue leg hermits. 1 red star fish, 1 rbta, 1 gbta, 1 crocea clam.

I do have occaisional fights between the percs and maroon, and I had 5 peppermint and 3 cleaner shrimp that were all eaten by the flame hawk.

This tank has been up for 3 months, I transfered everything from my 9 month old 65 and someone else's 2 year old 90 into this one. I get abot 2.5 - 3 gallons evaporation a day.
