Okay tested my water im getting 350ppm with Salifert and 420ppm with Hagen. Who am I to belive I dont have any local stores that are open today to test my water against (E. Ohio). I have a large shipment coming in of coral and want everything to be perfect. Is there anyone locally I can check my results against? I have Elos tests coming in about two weeks.

Normally, I'd say the Hagen is more reasonable, but there have been some problems reported with Reef Crystals lately. I'd probably keep the calcium at 370 according the the Salifert. If the Hagen is correct, the calcium would still be okay. Sigh.

I have noticed that my ALk was high, I will dose some Kent Marine liquid calcium and try to bring it up to par. I have noticed when I use Kalkwasser mix my calcium doesnt want to raise. I use I teaspoon in a 2L bottle? Any thoughts.

1 tsp of liquid calcium shouldn't change the calcium level in a 75g tank noticeably. This calculator might help:
