Digital Aquatics ReefKeeper 2 Controller
I had a near fire with this crappy old power strips, and this was because they have to sit in the stand. This seems to be a system that is pretty much fool proof, and very well deigned. I have one question for people who have it. How easy was it to setup? Was it an hour thing? 20min thing? Couple hour thing? How are the directions?

a powerstrip is a powerstrip. it probably just got wet. if this gets wet it could catch on fire too...
but a controller would definetly be a great investment. i was originally going to go with an RK2, but people on here changed my mind. go to www.phishybusiness.com get the acuacontroller jr. with serial port, temp probe and DC8, i think its $249. add a ph probe to that an its only 30 bucks more than the rk2 with no probe. also, the AC jr. can do sooooooo much more. also, put drip loops in your wires, keep the plugs vented, i.e. int in a humid stand, vent the stand

Neptune controllers are really easy to use, have a proven track record, and great customer support. I wouldn't even bother looking into other brands. I suggest getting the AquaController jr. with DC8 and temp probe. I have run a number of tanks with these units and never had a problem. Just mount the Dc8 to the inside wall of your stand with a couple of screws.
Have fun, Brad
