old stock Peladow

I just happened to be driving by Builders Supply on S. Main St in W-B and what do I see in the front window but a bag of DowFlake. I stroll in to buy a bag, which I do, and the guy says to drive up to the back bldg to pick it up. So cool, I get to check out the pallet for a lot# . Get up to the bldg and all they have in there is "DowFlake Xtra...the replacement for DowFlake. http://news.dow.com/prodbus/2006/20060717c.htm
So back down into the store and I ask the guy if I can have the one in the window. He tells me to take it. I check the lot and it is UK0301HI11, which according to that Dow batch/lot chart means it was made on Nov 3, 2006. So this is still good stuff. And according to that Dow info, all the new stuff with the high bromide is Xtra.

While I was there, I noticed a pallet with 7, 50# bags of Peladow. The Peladow isn't lot marked like the DowFlake, at least not that I could find, but there is info on the side of the bag with the date 08/06. There is some kind of code on the other side of the bag, but it's impossible to read...at least for me it was. Looked like a bunch of dots that may mean something.

Might be worth looking into it.
