Average MH Bulb Life Expectancy???

how long do MH bulbs last for on average? i think my bulb is going on me, i have had it for about 6 months.

usually 6 - 8 months, maybe a year depending on how long they are on for.

I've heard that 10-12 months is about it. I replace mine once a year. Its pretty easy to remember to replace them every January 1.

they are on 8 hours a day, its a jbj mh bulb that came with the fixture.

And thats why I got married on new years eve. Good point I will be getting some income tax time.
