Really not a lot of info there. Experimental treatment?

If it was really an experimental treatment a regular old insurance company could have denied it as well. Even Medicare has restrictions on what treatments they will pay for.

Why is there no outrage towards the hospital for refusing to perform the operation without paymnt?

Did the transplant registry approve her? The hospital and Insurance aren't the only ones who get to decide. Those who supply the organs have the final say.

Evidently there was a 65% chance she would survive after 6 months. I wonder what the odds were for long-term survival.

I can understand how the parents would want to do anything they can and accept any odds.
