Unhappy Officer down, say a prayer tonight.

We lost another officer today in Sacramento.

News story

Sacramento County Sheriff's gang officer killed; suspect at large

A 7 year veteran of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department was shot in South Sacramento earlier this afternoon. Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Tim Curran says the 37 year old deputy was a member of the sheriff's gang unit and was in the area with other gang officers when the shooting occured around 2 p.m. The deputy was taken to U.C. Davis Med Center where he later died. Approximately 150 officers are searching an area from Martin Luther King Boulevard to Franklin and Fruitridge to 47th Avenue for an Asian male, 18-20 years old, thin build and wearing a puffy green camouflage jacket. Residents are asked to stay in their homes and report any suspicious activity by calling 9-1-1.

Time for another slap on the wrist and a "Now, don't do that again, son"!

Anybody else feel it just takes way too much good to counterbalance this kinda' crap!

I don't think this one will get a slap on the wrist. I think they'll be able to try him as an adult.
