I don't think too many people record their par readings. I do know that the original rainbow is a mid to low light coral. I do not know about the maricultured versions.

many mention that they are very high light, and i know many reefers are starting to test par readings. One of the local clubs had one for borrow. thought i would compare theirs to mine.

If you do a search in the last 90 days, there have been two or three threads that I can remember.I know one was started by slojm. I am only echoing what what stated in those threads. I have mine 8 inched off my sandbad off to the side. I do run 250 helios which are not a par hogs.

Hey Osprey, did you get yours from Jgonzz? I did. Mine is about 15 inches under my 14k halides and it has really nice color. Put it in medium to low light and it color up nice.

Mine is at the bottom of my tank (the person I got it from said they have peices at high level, mid and low, and all grow well).

Mine is growing at a crazy fast rate.
