My clowns are the best wimps ever! Mixed pair, female Percula, male Ocellaris, they run and hide at the slightest thud or noise in the run. Forget about just running actnics, they totally freak out. I think this may be because they were aggressively harassed by a domino (which saw his demise in my 125 pred tank) when first introduced then the yellowtail damsel assumed tank boss. They are definitely a pair, but have not mated yet.

Haha my bro has this one perc that loves to jump into the filtration area of a nanocube and if I tried or he tried to fetch the little guy out he'd bite us.

Does it hurt? I know mine doesn't hurt when she bites. Sure does give me a fright. But nothing that would make me want to kill the her. Try getting bit by a 6+" African chiclid. Now that hurts! And they make you bleed.

Ya, I know. The black/white has been "Willy" since (s)he was a baby. I dont want to switch their names, so I just consider "him" to be the male. He's bigger anyways haha

I've only seen them get aggressive when they are living in an Anem. Think about it, you are invading their home!

I know where you're coming from: back in the 80's, I had a handsome Clarkii mated pair who disliked my garnet ring. They thought it was eyes. The female would bite that ring like crazy. But it was safer than putting the other hand in the tank, because she'd draw blood---four little sharp teeth in that lower jaw....

I sold that pair to my lfs, who proceeded to breed them again and again and again. Hundreds of offspring, who probably have contributed to the domestic Clarkii gene pool repeatedly.

That is really a very good thing to do with an aggressive pair: sell the blighters, if your tank can't put up with them: many breeders are glad to have them, and they'll have a happy and amorous life in a breeding tank, doing what Clowns love to do and having many, many, many nemos....

I wish my female YSM would just nibble, no when she attacks she will bit you and wiggle around and pull like a pit bull. But I would never get rid of her. I've had that fish for almost 4 years and it was maybe 1/2".

Mine think they are Chromis and join the school. It's pretty funny sometimes. Very peaceful.

I'm glad you don't work in a LFS around me, we already have enough idiots here.
