New tank back wall ideas?
any cool ideas about what to do with the back wall of a glass tank besides painting? i saw one thread where a lady sprayed on pond-safe foam that ended up blending in with the rock, it even grew coralline algae on it. and somebody else talked about using some sort of clay to make ridges and shelves...i thought that sounded interesting, tho i don't know what kind of clay would be safe. what do ya'll have on your back walls? thanks!

I am thinking about letting some green star polyps go crazy. A crazy amount of zoas would be cool too.

I've thought of doing green star polyps or zoas before. But I know I will have to move in the next year or two. It seems like it would be a problem if you had to break your tank down at all. I've seen the threads on the pond safe foam. I may try it on my next one.

Star polyps would be cool, but I don't know how you would get them all over the back.

Great ideas...i've seen the GSP on the back of the glass but it reminds me too much of planted FW tanks..but that's just me

KD9RG,
You could just glue the mat to the glass, and they would spread to it I think. Doing it in a few spots may help it cover faster. |
