Check these PH's out

I ordered a couple of these powerheads already and just awaiting them to arrive.

Powerheads

I have been reading about several other people on another reef site already using them with very impressive results.

pretty cheap and only 6.99 shipping for up to 20 of em.

I think you might be referring to the aquaglobes that came out a few years ago. The owner of the site tested these for 4 months prior to selling them and specifically looked into that because of those model problems with rust and as of this point (5-6 months now I believe) there was no sign of that. you can check out the full link

hey Nick, put me down for one...I am still not ready to add water to the 8 gallon but maybe this is something I will need and if not ...can't complain about the wasted money since it is so cheap.
I don't think I would need more than one ..do you ?

Definitely only one in an 8g. You will probably need to close the gate valve some as well, otherwise you will have a sandstorm..lol

mine should be here tomorrow barring any shipping delays..

I will let you guys know if they do and how well they churn things up in a 12g.

I also snagged a 10pce frag pack for 99 bucks shipped overnight that is supposed to include 3-5 colored zoanthids/palythoas, 3-4 LPS, and 1-4 soft coral or mushrooms. All nano sized.
I will shoot a few pics and update after I get em set up in their new homes.

Ok here is a shot of the new powerhead beside a Koralia 1 for sizing purpose.

and I can say DAMN what a nice flow this thing can give off. Works very nicely in my 12g nano's. Had to close the gate valve a little though. too strong otherwise. very nice and unbelievable for 4.99 per unit.

Very strong for such a small powerhead. It is as strong as a MJ1200, but 1/3 the size.

How's the flow?
had to close the gate to about 1/2 in order for the sand to stay in place on my AP 12g. these puppies are awesome for 5 bucks a pop. I especially like the whole power supply on the outside at the plug. reduces a lot of the heat generated by most ph's that would normally be in your tank. every bit helps.

Ok well I put these to the test on a wavemaker to see how well they come on and off. been running most of today and no problems so far. Like any timer that turns the ph on and off I am sure over time it weakens it but for 4.99 a pop I can handle that. Could easily get several of these at that price anyway.

So for 4 powerheads, the chauvet (currentsea) wavemaker I linked in another thread, all shipped to my home for a total of:
$70.14

unfortunately I have inventory at work on the 21st so I will not get to go to the swap . My boss says the only way he is letting me off that weekend is with my own death certificate. You are holding a pump for me and I will pick it up next month at the meeting if that is ok with you .

That is fine with me. Where do you work? I might be able to drop it off.
