Group Buy?

Hey, Im not sure if you have to be an official member to do this, or what the usual way of doing it is, but I was wondering if anyone was interested in doing a group buy of ricordea after the holidays. I wouldnt be getting this going untill sometime in mid january, but I wanted to know if there was interest out there.

I know of one place that said that I could get ricordea for 7$ a polyp if I ordered more than 50, and I am shopping around for some better prices elsewhere. The general idea would be people would get them in 5's or 10's and the money would be paid upfront. The ricordea would be delivered to my house in Dover, and people could pick up their ricordea from there.

There would be no guarentee on the color (at least from the place that I talked to, still waiting to hear back from others), but once the order came in we could figure out how many of each color are in and divide them up equally between the people.

Well, let me know what you guys think... I'll get some more quotes from other places. It would help if I had a general idea of around how much everyone who was interested wanted so that I could say that we wanted around 50, or around 100, ect.

Thanks,
Bellamy

I would jump in on this also and make the drive to Dover to pickup.

I would be in as well, if it were $7 a polyp I'd probably do about 10 or so myself, if not more haha.

Btw have you looked at zomania.com ((same owner as gatewayaquatics.com))? They have some good packages with ricordea as well.

I sent the owner of gatewayaquatics a message ... still waiting to hear back from him. I heard back from another place that said that we could get 100 for 6$ each, the only catch with that guy is he said that no oranges or pinks would be included... still waiting to hear back from 3 vendors or so and when I get responses from all of them I will post what they say.

Well, I heard back from the rest of them, and the only coparable one wants 9.00$ each with shipping included... but 2$ more than the other guy seems a little out there for shipping. Let me know what you guys think.

At $9 each, does he/she guarantee colors. Still a bit more than $7 each, as you mentioned, but if we can get a great mix of colors for everyone, it could be worth it...

I'm up for whatever the majority decision is...

At 9$ a polyp he said that he can guarentee that there will be a large assortment of colors, but not exact numbers of each.

sounds good to me, $9 a polyp is still a saving as opposed to usually $12-24 per single polyp.
I will definately be in for some.
