Dripping kalk?
Ok, i understand people uses kalk drip for top of water. And i do understand you don't want the top part and the bottem milky part of the water to drip into the system.
My question is, If i add a pump in the top of water to mix the kalk every hour, won't that just mix the whole thing up all over again? And if i am suppose to add a pump in there to mix the kalk eveyr hour for 5 mins. How can i control what i am dripping into the system? |

I mix my limewater by hand, and let it settle before using. If you choose to use a reactor, then it'll dose unsettled limewater from time to time. It shouldn't need that much mixing, though.

I do the same thing. Any "leftover" kalk is not going to go into solution, but will settle on the bottom of the container and there's not much reason to disturb as often as once an hour. If you're using a pump from the kalkwasser container to top off the main system, raise the pump up on something to keep it out of the bottom slurry.

So to be honest, i really don't need a pump in there huh? I can just mix the kalk by hand and just let it drip?

The pump is optional if you don't mind mixing all the topoff water by hand. It only takes a few seconds, but some people prefer the automation of running an RO/DI filter into the kalk reactor.
