zoa macros

Pics of my nano zoas

I bumped the tank with the lens and some of the zoas retracted

The skirts on these guys are really long since I've placed them in a higher flow area.

Nikon D40x
I'm still working with the depth of field issue and have found that f16-20 works the best.

Yep, I am between 18-20 and and iso of 400. At least I can start to see some improvemnt in my shots. What are you doing for your WB and what types of lights do you run? Thanks

These were taken with a Nikon 105mm Macro AF-VR, with the automfocus off and the VR off, kinda means that I spent a lot of money on a lens that I turn all the options off...LOL...

Lighting for the pics is whatevers in the canopy of my bio-cube, some type of PC...
I usually take several of the same image and bracket shoot them

Thanks for the reply! My wife and I are looking at getting a new DSLR camera and I wondered what lenses I should look into. The D40x was the camera I was interested in, so I was glad when you said that was the camera you used!
