ROWAphos in a seaclone 100

Has anyone tried something similar to this? I would take out the center acrylic piece and use ROWAphos in the supplied filter bag.

I believe the flow should be sufficient and I would hang it in the sump area before the fuge.

Will this work?

I would have posted this in DIY but I know some of you are DIY pros

Sounds like it would work just fine, flow through a bag of media.

See seaclowns are good for something

let us know the results

Did you ever attempt this? I happen to have a Seaclone 100 laying around that I could use this for (maybe carbon too?).

If you have, what mods did you have to do to get it to work...? Thanks!!

The idea is so good I might have to think about using it in the future. A 60.00 reactor, pump included. You can't go wrong with an idea like that you could even fill it with nitrate sponge no mods necessary.

Thanks for the responses everyone, I cleaned up my seaclone, removed the secondary tube and all that is left is a small center feed tube.
I am debating making an acrylic disc to fit the inside diameter of the main tube and create a shelf at the height of the feed tube or breaking the feed tube loose and removing it altogether, it's not like I am ever going to use this thing for skimming anymore (if indeed that was what it was actually doing)

Either way I think it should work great for using it as a phosphate remover, just about the perfect amount of flow.

I will be making my mind up of which mod to use before this weekend and will post picks of what I did.

You can always downsize the pump to a 9 or 600.
