baby watch 2007 begins (grampy bart update)

docs have stopped the "anti contraction" medication that the DIL has been on for the last 3 weeks or so. They say the parasite is close enough to term that next time it wants to emerge from the host, it can.
checkup yesterday, docs say 50% or greater chance of delivery over the weekend
MIL (grandma & great grandma to be) arrived at our house yesterday so she can be close when the big event happens.
I've been busting my butt getting a few of the unfinished rooms in the basement ready as guest rooms for when other family shows up to gawk. ( I'm not sure if I'm runing a hotel, a bed & breakfast or a freaking zoo, maybe a combo?)

wish us (me ) luck!

if the traditional parental wish of "paybacks" has any chance of coming true, you are correct

Dec 17, almost a dozen days since withdrawl of the anti contraction medication

nothing, nada, nope, not yet

roughly 7 days to projected delivery date, looks like he's gonna go full term or mighty mighty close

typical male of the species....
spends the first 9 months looking for the way out & I'm sure he'll spend a lifetime trying to get back in

I am glad he is waiting. Closer to term is much better for the baby. He'll probably go Christmas day throwing a wrench in everybodies plans. That way the parents can get used to that!

The little "parasites" can make things difficult, can't they? I was on bedrest with both pregnancies, mag sulfate for the twins--supposedly preterm labor. Went over my due date with the first, was finally induced at 36 weeks with the twins. I think the kids just do whatever they can to complicate things and keep you guessing! (Mine have continued to do that ever since.)

Good luck, hopefully the kiddo is here in time to get a visit from Santa!
