Slice of Nature is under new management, Rick is just now getting the marine section of the shop back up and running, he did a total break down of the fish set up. I talk to Dean every couple of weeks, he is not in the shop much as he is pursuing a new profession, but as far as I know he is still the owner.

Thanks again,
I have four 1 1 /2'' drains going into 100 micron filter socks in the sump that are changed every 3-4 days. I originally added the socks to cut down on micro bubbles, but I also really like how much they polish the water.

The water then flows over a baffle, a shallow sand bed, and through a filter membrane to the return pump.

I use an AquaC EV1000 skimmer ran by a mag 36 pump, this skimmer disappointed me a first, but with an upgraded pump, it really pulls out some thick, stinky stuff.

I don't have anything in the sand bed that I have purchased,(just critters from the live rock) I have thought about getting a diamond goby though. Any one have any opinions about these fish? My rock work is secure, and I would not have to worry about a rock slide if it were to undermine a rock.

I don't have any recent pics of the sump area, I will try to get some tomorrow.

I think this guy's a show off!! Well at least I hope he's one, cause thats one nice tank!!

As for your wish list goes, I have a Geo calcium reactor I was informed by several locals here to go with that brand and I will do the same to you. It was completly "plug & play" and I have never touched it since other than to clean the input tube due to algae from my sump lights.

As for new lighting, I would suggest (if it's in your buget) T5's. I have them over my tank and....I could on but it's a world of differents in color and amount of heat not to mention the many different specs' of light you can do.

I once had a Diamond goby in my old 90g set up, It did burrow but never toppled over any of my rock work. I liked the lil' fella too and had no issue's with him, other than one. He would pick up sand and swimm about half way up in the tank and then sift it through his gills ( I guess his gills) and it would fall back down onto my rocks and coral. That was somewhat annoying, but a turkey baster would blow it off so not to big of a deal.
