Painted my living room today...
with my tank in the adjoining family room...and my skimmer went into overdrive. No big deal just regular latex...I knew better.

What problems are you expecting? there's not much you can do with the tank when you paint (Add Carbon).

I don't expect any problems...should have just shut my skimmer down for 24 hours until the air cleared. It overflowed the overflow before I caught it. Should have known better is all.

I have that same problem with my skimmer when I add Magnesium or other and I forget to shut the skimmer down for 5 minutes a half a cup of skimmer sludge goes back into the tank.
