90 Gallon Stocklist
Will this work in a 90 gallon?
2 Firefish 1 Auriga Butterflyfish 6 Green Chromis 1 Banggai Cardinalfish 1 Some Dwarf Angelfish I want a Dwarf Angelfish. I know many would recommend the Flame, because it is striking, but I feel there's too much red with it and the Firefish in the aquarium. I like the Lemonpeel A LOT, but again, may be too much yellow with the Auriga. Will the above list be fine, and any recommendations for a Dwarf Angelfish? Can I add any fish in addition to the ones listed above? |

The chromis will more than likely kill each other off until their are 1 or 2 left, and 6 chromis is alot on the bioload of a 90G.
The firefish might fight with each other, unless you can find a mated pair. I would consider skipping the chromis, and get a few cardinals instead. I dont have any experince with butterflies so maybe someone else will chime in on that one. The coral beauty is a really nice angel, I have one in my tank, it has a great personality, and doesnt pick at any of my corals. |

What about a smaller Tank such as the Kole Yellow Eye or Bristletooth?

Well I realize that a lot of people claim that Chromis kill each other off, but I've heard that 6 is much more of a stable number than 3, or even 4.
I've had my Firefish for over 3 months now and they live together happily. I've heard the complete opposite regarding the Cardinals; THEY need to be kept individually because eventually the Banggais will kill each other off unless they're mated. And about the Tang: I love them, yes, but I feel that they will produce too much waste, be too active and take up too much space for my Butterflyfish to be happy and for me to have enough smaller fish. |

i personally like the multicolor angels or the potters. In a fish only tank the multicolor would be very nice! the white color looks amazing against the purple coraline especially with a black background on the tank!

Chromis will kill each other off. I have heard the "X #" is more stable, but find someone that has kept a group for two years. Banggai cardinals can not be kept in groups, but most other cardinals do very well in groups and are more prone to school as opposed to shoaling.

So there is no way to keep a Chromis group for long?
I'm sure there's no harm in trying anyways... |

i tried and am down to the magic number 0. Started with 5, in a short few months i had 3...another few months i had 1 and now none! who killed the last one or what happened to it will remain an unsolved mystery...

6 chromis is not going to be that much of a bioload on your 90. You might lose one or two but i doubt you will lose all of them i had 3 for a year n half until i gave them back to the lfs.

there is an entire thread going abut keeping schools of Chromis.
I have 3 Firefish in my 50 and the hang ny each other all the time. No agression what-so-ever. They look cool as a small group too. |
