Bandit Angel food

Curious if anyone is keeping one of these and what foods you are feeding it to satisfy its natural requirement of sponges, besides ON angel and pygmy angel formula? Would it behuve me to sacrifice a live sponge froma LFS? Comments are appreciated.

Many angels that depend on sponges in the wild can be converted to easier-to-obtain diets in captivity. While Bandit's fight that conversion a bit harder than, say, a Queen, much of the time you can get them to take prepared foods. Ive had really good luck using vitamin enriched Mysis shrimp and Nori strips. I try to feed at least 2-3 times per day, as they seem to do best when allowed to graze constantly, rather than depend on 1 big feeding a day.

If you are up for buying sponge from the LFS, you can try that- most sponges in the hobby come from the Caribbean though, and the Bandit may not take to them right away. You can give it a shot though. But like I said, mysis and nori has worked quite well for me.
