Looking good. Hopefully there is an upgrade in a couple of years so you can keep your hippo tang. Is that a field of mushrooms in the middle?

Thanks, yes it is zip tied, I got the mag float idea from someone here, those mushrooms are growing every where, you wont believe it but there were only 3 shrooms on that rock when I got in 4 years ago, I have completly frag them but they countinue to return, the over grow other coral.

I will be getting a 125 for the blue tang.

Yeah the monti looks awesome. Hey I feel your pain with the mushrooms. I also started out with just a couple and have ended up with about 400 of them.

I used to be able to frag them and sell them off. Now I can even give them away. I took out all the rocks that had them in on it. Turns out I forgot a couple. Im now back to around 30.

I started my 1" Hippo tang in a 20g. It was in there for 6 months. Once it was around 2" I put it in my 55g. It was in there for about a year and a half and managed to grow to around 4". It has spent the last year in my 125g. Its now around 6.5".

About that monti, when I 1st got in about 3 years ago I had it under compact flourecents(65w), and as you can imagin it died,(or so I though), so I turned it over and used it as live rock, it was turned over with no light for about 7 months, well when I upgraded my lights/tank, I got VHO's, i stacked my rocks up,(I had forgot about the monti rock). So after about 3 months in the new tank I was watching the tank and noticed that monti rock had little polyps, so I moved it high up, and that's it today, 3 times the size it was, and the green was yellow b4 it died. enjoy!
