light , how high

I bought this light:

how high above a 46gal bowfront (18" deep) should I hang it?

What is over your tank now? The "192w jebo"
If so I would start it about eight inches above the tank and reduce the hours that they are "ON"
Lower the light weekly.
Just my opinion> lets see what everyone else thinks

Yes, it's the jebo. They are on 12 hours a day.

Myself, I would start with them on six hours a day and add two hours a week. I suppose it also depends on your corals..... what do you currently have?

I keep my halides about 12" or so above the tank to keep them protected from any splashing that might crack the bulbs.

The splashing is a def consideration. I wouldnt suggest them any lower then six inches but that would be based on your fish (splashing) selection!
