Is this too much light?

I have a 90g and having half SPS and half LPS/Softies. Right now, I'm running 2x175MH and 110W PC. I think my lights are acting up. I don't know if the bulbs or the ballasts. Anyway, I'm thinking to change them to 2x400MH. or 400MH for SPS side and leave the 175 for LPS/Softies. Do you think I may have too much lights for a 90g?

Thanks
Jeff

I don't think 400 watt halides are going to be that much of an advantage over 250 watt halides.

Right, but the electricity will be more and the heat will be more.

yep, 2x 400w on a 65g might burn up everything in your tank, unless the fixture is like 3ft above your tank!!!
