You are not likely to find any small pieces, unless you find an individual with some scrap. Most places will only sell it in full sticks. I think about the shortest i have found was 5 ft. lengths, and it will cost between $10 to $50 per foot depending on where you get it and the size pipe. 8 inch pipe will be on the $50 per foot side.

none of my end. I found on in the DIY section of RC. quite a few people have had in on for a year or more. the fusion is made to bond to plastic.

I have heard that Sharpie markers are safe as well.....I am really hesitant to use it, but that's what I've seen in a few places on here....

...and ditto on the Krylon....it has been used by many others tanks that I have seen.

I have also found black pvc at a shop in Ohio that I visit when I am in the area.... I think thier website is www.savko.com

Black PVC. ...
There is a black plastic pipe that is called ABS plastic pipe. It is similar to PVC. However, you cannot glue it to PVC. The PVC glue will not bond the two together, but the PVC glue will bond ABS to ABS.
This pipe is usually found at RV dealerships. It is primarily used in older mobile homes, RV's and motor homes.
I have seen it in sizes from 1-1/2'' to 3 ''.

You can buy black PVC here: http://www.savko.com. I used black for everything on my new tank and it came out great.
