2000 gallon stock list from Indo, what would you want inside?
A wholesaler/fish farmer in Indonesia has made a deal with me to get me any and all fish I want for free. He is doing this as last time I ordered from him he sent me a bunch of tiny fish along with a huge frogfish that pretty much ate everything up along with my 3 foot tessalata eel.
I had originally told him that I needed fish at least 6 inches long, but that didn't happen so now he knows what I mean. He has asked me to send him a list of large fish that his divers can be on the look out for. As for what I'm thinking, a large imperator angel, large blueface, large clown trigger, some large tangs etc. There are just so many fish out there that I don't know of, I'd gladly take suggestions on large fish that are hardy and cool, different or rare. Any suggestions on must haves with budget being no object? P.S. I have talked to people who have gone out with the divers and there is no dynamite nor drugs used, only hand caught in nets. +1 for the Jumbo Imperator. I'd also go for a large Naso with streamers or a Sohal. Man with 2000 gallons you could have a lot of fish. Vlamingii's are nice.
Whatever you get, we want pics.

I have no real answer either but I do really want to see a bigger version of that pic in your avatar if you can. Your tank looks amazing!
I would though also vote for the larger angels! |

+1 for the big clown. Hell, any big fish 12" or more would be great to see.

I'd go for 10-12 big fish more than 12" like Dan is saying. It would be nice to see a full-on adult size fish tank. This would be a rarety as not many people get a chance to get adult fish.

I agree - any huge fish would make a great addition to your tank!

I would say pick your favorite tang and add six. I think tangs look way better in schools and you definately have the room.

I would think of my favorite scenes and memories from snorkeling or diving, and try to recreate that environment.
I know this fish wouldn't work for you, as it's not indo, but once when I was snorkeling in Mexico, off Cozumel, I saw a pair of striking, large gray fish. I later found out they were ocean triggerfish. They were so spectacular, the way they swam along together, that I would love to have one or a pair in a large enough tank to keep them. Surely, you must have some scenes like that you could recreate in your tank... NOTE: not my pic, found it in a google image search of "ocean triggerfish" - looks a lot like the scene that impressed me so much. |

Not sure if you've stated this already or not, but what are the tank's dimensions?

LOL i dont believe it, so many ppl have 500G+ tanks anyhow this is wat i would put in...
Well ok this fish list is a list that I would use if I had a 2000G FOWLR tank like yours: (Consider the fact this maybe costly) (Naturally I personally wouldn’t put all of these) (The inches are based from your tank size and the aggressiveness) Angelfish/Butterflyfish - Queen Angelfish (5-6 inch) - Blue Face Angelfish (7-8inch) - French Angelfish (7-8inch Diameter) - Passer Angelfish (5-6inch) - Chyrusus Angelfish (7inch) - Imperator Angelfish (8inch) - Majestic Angelfish (8-9inch) - Personifer Angelfish (7inch) - Regal Angelfish (7+ inches) - Scribbled Angelfish (7inch) - Blue Ring (6inch) - Small School of Golden Butterflyfish (5inches each) Foxface -Magnificent Foxface (7inch) Grouper - Clown Grouper (4-5inch) - Miniatus Grouper (4-5inch) Lionfish - Antennata Lionfish (5-6inch) - Radiata Lionfish (5-6inch) Parrotfish - Princess Parrotfish (5-6inch) Puffer - Burr Puffer (5-6inch) - Porcupine Puffer (5-6inch) Shark - Epaulette Shark (7-12inch) Tang - Vlamingi Tang (10-12inch) - Blonde Tang (9-11inch) - Sohal Tang (7-8inch) - Unicorn Tang (9-11inch) - Achilles Tang (7-8inch) - Purple Tang (as large as you can find) Triggerfish - Clown Triggerfish (5-6inch) - Niger Triggerfish (8inch) - Black Triggerfish (8inch) - Huma Triggerfish (7inch) - Crosshatch Pair (8inch) - Rectangle Triggerfish (7inch) - Queen Triggerfish (4-5inch)(extremely aggressive) Wrasse - Harlequin Tusk (6-7inch) - Green Bird Wrasse (5-7inch) (this has been used in another one of my replys with some adjustments) |

I would dump the angels, puffers, and triggers and get some nice sharks like an eppie and some bamboos. Oh and some rays like a blue spotted ray(kuhli not lymma) would be sweet too. JMO

i think that shark idea would be awesome, like a pair of eppies, and a few bamboos, then a ray of somesort. i think it would also be sweet to have a little "school" of tangs, or anthias. i think that would be pretty neat.
