Deltec 851 Skimmer for sale

I have a year old Deltec 851 SKIMMER for sale @ 850.00

The Skimmer runs 1190.00 Brand new.

It is a Needlewheel recirculating skimmer with fantastic performane that can be run in or out of your sump.. Sized for Aquariums from 270 to 400 gallons

This particular Model came straight from Deltec fitted with an eheim 1262 recirc pump versus the 1260 that it is normally sold with. The benefit is more air entering the skimmer quicker and longer buble contact time because of the additional strength of the larger pump...

I would like to reserve this skimmer for pick-up only in New York because it is a delicate item..

I used a Mag 5 pump to feed this skimmer. If anyone is interested, I will throw the mag 5 in for free.. This skimmer can also be gravity fed.

How did you have them use a 1262? You custom order it?? Guess I've never heard of this and sounded interesting

I've heard that they are not actually 1262's. I've heard that the backs of 1262's get put on 1260's by accident.

Yeah I know it came from the factory that way but what I'm saying is that sometimes 1262 backs get put on 1260's by accident @ Deltec from what I ahve heard.

Did you order it w/ a 1262 on it or did it come w/ a 1262 just because?

My apologies Lunch...

I did not specify what type of pump I wanted when I ordered the skimmer. Deltec did not give you an option . So, I thought I was getting a 1260. When I spoke to Doug about it, he just stated that I was one of the lucky ones.. I never tested the pump to see how much power it was pulling, so it may be a 1260 with a 1262 back... Not sure....

jbanks - I'm not saying I'm right just saying what I heard. Whatever pump there is that is a SWEET skimmer. I'd love to have my 701 be an 851...well actually a 702

markandkristen - Not sure on the difference I guess.

Same pump body except for the volute cover. The opening inside the inlet is wider on the 1262. Makes no difference wiht a skimmer because the venturi is far more restricting anyway...
