DELTEC FR509 Fluidized Reactor how is dosing pump work? i have kalk reactor with stir pump...and how is this dosing pump you are selling work?? does it pump fesh water ro to kalk reactor and into the sump? or how is this work,thanks |

khoivo1 - I would prefer to sell the FR509 with the Iwaki pump - it is sized correctly for the proper flow through the media, flow can be further controlled by the valve on the reactor if needed though.
The peristaltic pump is programmed (time and duration) to draw water from the make-up freshwater feed tank and pumps it into the Kalk reactor where the mixture is then gravity fed through an overflow into the sump. The Kalk water is introduced to replenish water that has evaporated. |

first thing,,is how is that iwaki pump run? quiet at all?? same as mag pump??
second i need to understand more about this dosing pump so how can you program that dosing pump ,,,pumping the same amount of water has evaporated?? do i need a float switch to activate the pump?? so that the pump will only pump when the float switch is activated on /.. is this one pump or dual?? dual only cost 149 brand new,,,ebay thanks,,, |

Iwaki is very quiet - external applications only.
I calculated on average what I lose daily through evap then have the dosing pump run the time needed to replace the lost water. Pump pulls fresh water from the holding tank and discharges through the Kalk reactor. Single pump head. The Ebay one sounds like a good deal. Thanks, Bill |

so,,,this way ,,,i dont' have to have auto top off system??
the pump is pump fresh water to kalk reactor and then pushing through the kalk reactor to sump?? no additional pump from kalk reactor to show tank sump?? if so what would you do about prices if i get both,,any better deal?? let me know asap ,,thanks |

vortechs are 8 months and 5 months old - fish need to sell prior to shipping jsonpic - I can ship the sump and liverock too - but will be costly due to weight of rock and oversize of box for sump - let me know if still interested. sump would have to wait until fish are gone though. |

I am interested in the FR 509. I would like it without the pump. I am considering a new one and possibly two but I would prefer not to run another external pump. LMK. I am sure you will want to sell it as a package. I just thought I'd ask. I am sure it's hard to transition to being a non aquarist.

I need to move the remaining livestock so I can dismantle the system, so I lowered their prices. C'mon local people, you wont find any better/healthier fish in the Syracuse/Utica area especially for the prices I am asking. I wont ship because I have no faith in my ability to have them ship/arive alive - local pickup only.
