Question Magnetic MH 250 down. Need help!

Hi,
I am having issue issue with my 4 year old magnetic MH 250. It started with my MH bulb turning on and then off continously. Now it does not even fire the MH bulb. I have Ohm/volt meter and took the case off. No black charring or obvious failures. I have an extra transformer and capacitor should I replace the whole thing or just the capacitor? Any other advise.

Thanks
Simon

Can't really help you with that one. If you need a back up ballast, Black Coral Hawaii in Santa Ana had a couple Hamilton ballasts for $50 last time I was there. Might be a good idea to have one on hand.

Replace the cap first and see if it work...and then take it from there

Simon...If you're in there...you might as well replace ignitor, coil, and cap. If one is going bad....the others aren't far behind.
