Metal Halide Lighting
I was wondering what MH bulbs would you guys recommend. i am debating between the 250 watts; ReefLux 12k, XM 15k, and Hamilton 14k. i current have two 250w 12k and two actinic VHO. What do you guys think of taking out the VHOs and adding in one more MH in the center.
I have a 100g tank with mostly sps and fish in it. the tank has a glass brace in the middle. would that brace make a difference with the halide on top of it? |

Lighting is way too subjective. It is pretty much whatever you like to see your corals under. Carlos

SE or DE bulbs?
From all that I have read the 15K XM aren't the best, they have really poor par.

depends on your pocket book. t5 if your rich.. however they are less watts overall so less on a monthly bill
or CF / VHO if your old school |

Hammy 14ks and Reeflux 12ks are pretty similar in color, and probably the two most popular 250w bulbs on these forums. They're both good.
