I think this loss was the first step that way. I know I know some think he woudl go even if he won the NC but I think it would have been hard for him to leave if he won a NC now since he won't be playing for one talks will heat up even more with him being offered the job before the bowl game.

It didn't end up hurting them, but I have no idea why LSU took two consecutive time outs without running down the clock with 3rd and goal and more then a minute to go.... Run the play clock/game clock down, then call the time out!

Hey I can hope can't I

I don't much care who wins, it's a fun game to watch. The chop vs the chomp.

The chomp has been a bit more dominant lately wouldn't you agree? What, this will be the 4th victory in a row now?

my all-time favorite rivalry game today...Florida vs Florida State...Man, this once was a big, big, big-time game, through most of the 1990's, now it's just a whimper of what it once was...too bad for the Noles!!!

I sure hope so! DMac broke the rushing record he set last year when he came in 2nd. Hate to say this in front of the FLA fans here, but I hope Tebow has a crappie game today!

Tebow has to put up good numbers to keep pace with what McFadden did yesterday, he put himself right back into the equation...God, I'd love to see him in Eagles green next year

Tebow play a crappy game? Keep dreamin bud. Tebow is going to tear up the noles just like he has done to every team he has played (except UGA because he was injured).

Tebow won't go to the NFL next year. He will definately stay for his junior year. In fact, I am pretty sure Tebow is staying all 4 years at FLA from what I have heard and read.

Are you on crack?

He will do his junior year but if he wins the heisman next year (I think Mcfadden killed his chances for this year) He will bolt, no question about it. Matt Leinart showed there is a big danger in not taking the money after your heisman year. Cost him millions.

I don't think Leinart regrets it. He probably made more millions increased publicity and PR from staying then he lost from staying in school.

They should only give the Heisman to seniors, reward people for staying in.

Lienart lost a ton on his NFL contract. He went from a likely number 1 pick to 10th. Besides the millions that shook off his contract he missed out on a lot of endorsements. Look at all the stuff Reggie Bush is endorsing.

Yeah, what a game this year it was.

The FLA/FLA St. game in the 90s was probably the best rivalry in college football. Now, there are so many rivalries its really hard to pick one.

UF/FSU was great, for what, a couple years? Namely, 1996, 1997...

Ohio State/UM has been going strong since 1897.. Notice that's 1897, not 1997....

That's the problem with many SEC fans... they think one or two fluke years, with one or two fluke performances by their top team... makes them the best conference ever and all the other conferences with much more storied histories are "a joke." Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile, it takes true skill to stay on top for, oh, so a hundred plus years.

As for Ohio State/Michigan... HBO, ESPN, the WSJ, and even the US Congress, House of Representatives have all called it the greatest rivalry/biggest game in sports:

Sorry but you had 15 or 20 loser politicians nearly all from Ohio and Michigan attempt to pass a House resolution calling it the greatest rivalry but they couldn't get it out of either committee it was reffered to

And by the way, greatest and most followed rivalry game, Army/Navy period. After that it's open to debate but I would say Auburn/Bama, OSU/Mich, SC/Notre Dame could make as good a case as anyone.

Hey, I remember the olden days when there was only 3 channels on the TV!!!!

No, really, look it up. NBC, ABC, CBS and maybe a couple of local channels if you were in a big city and they weren't showing the Florida game
