lol, so what your basically saying with this thread is you need to buy more corals? The whisper filter does not suck but for corals its not in your best interest to use it as its intended to be used, you can turn it into a fuge and that would work. As for the typhoon sorry to say it does suck, hope you have the anti siphon kit if not i would get rid of that skimmer and buy something else. If you dont want to spend a lot of money buy a reef octopus hob skimmer. I payed 105 for mine and couldnt be happier.

Hi, I'm an addict by the name of Mike.

It all depends on what type of corals you want to do. If it's LPS's I suggest a refugium. For SPS's a sump with a barebottom tank. Keep in mind lighting, skimming, flow, and live rock. All of these things can start to add up.

He is an addict not a spelling bee. How can we expect him to type correctly when he is needing his next fix?

reef stop

Not to threadnap, but how long did it take others to get a skimmer from reefstop? I ordered a week ago, and other than an initial email order confirmation, I have heard nothing since. No response to voicemail or email yesterday morning, but maybe they were off the day before Thanksgiving?
Just wondering what is a normal wait for this place, as their site says ship in 2-3 days.
I ordered from them because of recommendations I received from here also.
Thanks!

I shop at Aqua Cave for drygoods. I get my stuff in about 10 minutes. I usually hang out and BS for at least a half hour though.

hondo i dont know about that place but i bought mine from Customaquatic and it took close to 2 weeks, i didnt even get a confirmation because of an email confusion. I did get an answer though when i called in, i hear that the reefstop is owned by a member of rc so you might want to find out who it is and pm him.

I've always had good luck with Dr's Foster's and Smith and Marine Depot.
