CO2 refill without swamping tanks?

Anyone here know of any locations along the peninsula that will refill CO2 tanks without swamping the tank out? Thanks.

most places will refill it for you if you are insistent on it. Who wants one of those dirty crappy old tanks when you have a nice clean new one? Industrial gas places are usually the best but hard to get to because of their hours

SF Brewcraft between 16th and 17th and Clement will refill the tank for you. AirGas or Praxair in the SF will change out the tanks for you, so if you have a shiny tank kiss it goodbye.

AirGas or Praxair elsewhere may just change out the tanks, but not absolutely sure. Hansen's Fire something rather or another will refill tanks as well, but they are located in the East Bay.

Thanks for that info Raddogz. I think I know the one you're talking about in the east bay. It's in San Lorenzo or Hayward right? It might be the same place I use to take my 20lb tank to. I refilled that thing every 19 months so I didn't mind the drive .

Be careful about keeping your nice shinny tanks. I know most of you guys are too lazy or probably don't know you have to hydro your tanks every 5 years. Takes a few weeks to have it hydrod. You also need to get it inspected every year. Atleast this is true of scuba tanks. I assume its true for other gases too.

What do you mean by "hyrod your tanks?" This is the first I've heard of this.
